"Benaiah and the warriors" was created for the 2025 Women's Work show at the A.R. Mitchell Museum. The theme was centred around cowgirls and partnering with a ranch. I partnered with Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch in Central Oregon, featuring a ranch hand named Hollee. She showed me the ropes, and we talked about what the ranch does, rescuing horses and rescuing hearts through the power of Jesus. Little Bear is the name of the rescued draft horse on the right, and Benaiah is the draft on the left. Both suffered tragic stories and are warriors amongst the rest, towering over the herds. They give hope to the children who hop on their backs and offer comfort in the saving grace.
